What People Are Saying About Us
During my six months here so many beautiful things happened. The group of people I was surrounded by genuinely cared. They now serve as role models and friends who I still stay in touch with. I managed to get back in school, resume and learn new past times, as well as stay clean. As corny as it sounds, their assistance helped me get my life back. I’m now 20 months sober and am at one of my dream schools getting straight A’s. It almost doesn’t make sense. Getting clean for me wasn’t a cake walk, but I can tell you that it’s worth it. I can also tell you that this is the group to be with.
Halim helped transform my life! As a former Program Director at a recovery facility where I was a client, Halim’s compassion and dedication allowed the absolute best of me to emerge during my recovery. He’s a superior leader and provided a caring, structured and healing environment. It allowed me to stay positively focused on my recovery. I would consider him a pioneer in his field, and through his devotion to helping others this guy is saving lives.
I’ve been to a lot of sober livings and I have never been to one who cared as much as Rob and Halim do. They run the company very well on the business side and the client side. You can tell that they actually care about you and they want the best for you even if that means facing some tough truths. They take the time and care to incorporate the family of the alcoholic/addict into the treatment plan if the client chooses. I left two years ago and still maintain regular contact with them, from a different state. That alone shows how much their clients mean to them. They will give their own free time and energy if they need to. Whatever it takes for their clients to be successful. Thank you Rob and Halim.
I came to Halim Rob’s program at 29 years old. I was broken, unable to live life, and lost. For many years I was unwilling, defiant, and not honest about my struggles with drug addiction. When I arrived was shown love, compassion and tolerance. What was expected from me was accountability and honesty. Staff members and other residents shared their experiences with me and I started believing that I too could have these things they talked about. They implemented a schedule for me consisting of activities that embodied the mind, body, and spirit. I am so grateful I fell into the hands of these guys, I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. I had been to many programs before but the honesty and sincere desire to help I saw and felt with Rob & Halim is unparalleled to any program I had ever been in.I came in a boy and left a man connected with direction, desire, and purpose. I am 21 months sober an am living a life beyond my wildest dreams.
During my 4 month stay with Rob and Halim, I was given the tools to improve my life one step at a time. The structure of their house enables those who are willing to achieve long term sobriety. I was encouraged to dive into a program to help me develop a design for living that has kept me sober for multiple years. I would strongly encourage anyone struggling with stopping the use of alcohol and drugs on their own, to explore spending time in a compassionate and structured environment under Halim’s and Rob’s care. It has changed my life and I’m eternally grateful.
My name is Patrick and I am writing this letter in regards to my stay at the sober living specifically in regards to Rob and Halim. I met both men during my stay at the sober living they worked for, which was my fourth attempt at sobriety and fourth sober living facility. In all my encounters with case managers and staff members, never did anyone affect my life like Rob and Halim. They were two of the most caring, responsible, and overall genuine men I had ever encountered. They carried themselves with the utmost professional demeanor in an environment that was sometimes hectic and stressful for everyone involved. Besides being a recovering alcoholic I own my own company and truly believe Halim and Rob were the heart and soul of that sober living. They both took what seemed to be an invested interest in me and made me feel like I was their only patient which was not the case. In my time there I got a part time job or what is called a “get well” job within my third month of sobriety. I also went to the gym everyday, went on great outings with the entire house every weekend and all while I did not have a car or license. If it weren’t for them there was no way for me to have reliable transportation. I attended AA meetings at least 5 times a week and they provided a safe place that I believe it or not was proud to call home. They kept in regular contact with my family, made sure I went to regular therapy and doctors appointments outside of there required regimen. I have been sober for 2.5 years as of March 14th, 2018 and I have them largely to thank for that. Any company or person would be more than blessed to get the chance to work with either Rob or Halim. They are genuinely two pillars of the sobriety community and would be of any community they were apart of. Most importantly I am proud to call both, my friend.
